Here’s a quick skin retouch that I’ve applied in PS4 to create a trendy fashion snapshot look and feel, similar to that used in Jimmy Choo 2009 and 2010 campaigns, photographed by Terry Richardson. Adjustments used included:
– Curves (contrast correction)
– Selective color (skin color correction)
– Gradient maps (skin and dress color correction)
– Levels (separate luminance correction for highlights and shadows)
– Magic

Hasselblad mon Amour
After this memorable shoot that was documented in the video below, I’ve completely fallen in love with the Hasselblad cameras. Its flawless perfectionism in design together with the most thoughtful attention to all the minor details even felt intimidating at first, and totally won me over.
Somehow I’m a bigger fan of the classic V series, than of the contemporary H series. There’s something amazing about these “Made In Sweden” cameras, and I find them utterly inspirational.
That said, I’ve recently bought a Hasselblad 503CW, which is still produced these days. The camera is nothing short of incredible. I’ve shot several rolls of Kodak Ektar and Ilford HP5 during last weekend, and I can say that working with a Hassie was a truly sexy experience. Will show-off the pics as soon as they’re back from the lab.

Build Your Own Snapshot Monster!
Brackets, again 
Here’s a vivid comparison of a cheap generic bracket, that I’ve bought in China, and a classy CB Mini-RC. There’s a x10 price difference between them, but CB is worth every penny, if you’re after a trendy snapshot aesthetic.

Casting for silver jewelry catalogue.
This Tuesday we held a casting for jewelry catalogue at CreatImage Studios.
For the lighting I used my Canon Speedlite 580 EX II on a newly bought flash bracket by Custom Brackets, and I find the effect it produces absolutely awesome. I got it via UPS in the early morning right before the casting, so that was a great chance for a full scale test ride. It’s the very same bracket that’s used widely by Terry Richardson for his latest editorial and commercial jobs.

Bibi’s coming back to Bangkok!
One of our best models, soon-to-be-top 16-year-old Bibissara Sharipova is coming to Bangkok tomorrow for her second time with Exodus MMGMT.
This Fall she spent in New York, catwalking at NY Fashion Week and doing some stunning editorial work.
It’s absolutely exciting to watch her rapid professional growth and development – her first trip ever was to Thailand, and then straight to NYC and now she’s back to the Land of Smiles for some big commercial/ad campaigns, that she plans to get this time.
She’ll stay with us until February, and then it’s NYFW again.
Way to go Bibi, The Pride Of Kazakhstan!
